The Perfect Pedal was born out of inventor Gary Gibson's frustration with what was available in all but the most expensive (thousands of dollars) simulator pedal sets. All of the low- to mid-range pedal sets use a position sensor to measure how far you have pushed the brake pedal. In all real-life brake applications, the force of how hard you push the pedal is what stops the car. This is why it is impossible to even approximately simulate a brake pedal with a position sensor. |
